Season Over for Gonzalez

Team officials for the St. Louis (FCL) Cardinals confirmed that radial nerve compression will force Ruben Gonzalez to miss the rest of the season. Gonzalez sustained the injury on 05/14/2035. It remains to be seen who will replace Gonzalez on the active roster.

Mack Tags Phillies for 5 Hits

It was a great day at the plate for Matt Mack. For his Toronto (FCL) Blue Jays, the day was not nearly as good.
The catcher collected 5 hits in 6 tries, but his club still came up short in the win column. The Philadelphia (FCL) Phillies snatched the victory, topping the Blue Jays by a score of 25-10.
"Well that wasn't how it was supposed to end," Mack said later. "I'll just have to do it again and get it right."
Matt Mack hit an RBI single in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

Haymes Sizzles -- Smokes Orioles for 5 Hits

Ryan Haymes did more than his part as the Raleigh Green Wave topped the Baltimore (FCL) Orioles, 11-4, at Green Wave Grove. The Green Wave catcher pounded out 5 hits to pace his team. Ryan Haymes singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
This season, Haymes is batting .458 with 11 hits, no home runs, 3 RBIs, 8 walks, .576 OBP and has scored 6 runs. He has played in 6 games.
