Seattle's Snider to Retire
Wednesday, May 16th , 2035
Seattle reliever Collin Snider won't be back next year. The 39-year-old announced plans today to retire at the end of the 2035 campaign, saying that it was time to call it a career.
"I could probably play another year," Snider said, "but I don't have that fire you need to play well. And I'm not going out there on those terms. It's a disservice to the Mariners and baseball in general. There are just too many aches and pains in this old body for me to continue playing."
During his career, Snider has posted a 31-and-21 record with 7 saves and a 4.15 ERA.
