Blue Jays Come Back Late to Clip Angels
|
The Toronto Blue Jays handed the Los Angeles Angels a 6-5 defeat at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. First Baseman Delfry Greenfield starred for Toronto. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs. Aaron Tucker, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-0. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. Garrison Purdy earned the save for Toronto, his 9th.
Toronto used the hitting of Dean Curley to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blue Jays on top, 6-5. For the game, Curley had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Curley.
