|
Getting an impressive start from Adam Pruitt, Las Vegas beat Toronto by the score of 4-2. Pruitt, now 2-2, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Melvin Pichardo wrapped it up, recording his 7th save.
The Athletics got a big at-bat from center fielder Azaan Tunis. For the game, Tunis was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Las Vegas a 3-1 lead.
"Thought I threw pretty well and overall I felt good," said Pruitt.
The win puts Las Vegas at 15-16.
