Toronto Loses, 6-4, in 10
|
The Tampa Bay Rays took Scott Reddin's best shot and still were able to collect a win at George M. Steinbrenner Field. The final score had Tampa Bay getting past the Blue Jays, 6-4, in 10 innings. Reddin over 5 innings allowed 1 run on 3 hits, while striking out 6. Toronto now is 12-8.
Tampa Bay got a knockout punch from Adolfo Sanchez. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"It took some blood and sweat, but we got what we were after," said Rays manager Matt Kimbrel.
