Blue Jays Pull Out Late-Game Win, 3-2
Seattle left fielder Spencer Browning had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Browning went 2 for 3 with 2 singles, even as Toronto beat the Mariners, 3-2. Toronto reliever Derrick Smith snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Bernie Orozco shouldered the loss. The victory makes Toronto 9-6, as the team seeks a return to the playoffs in 2036.

Toronto got a clutch hit from Jose Negron. The designated hitter launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Negron. "And not try to do too much."
