Blue Jays right fielder Sean Thomas put his stamp on his team's 9-5 win over the Seattle Mariners. Thomas was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 3 runs for Toronto in the contest. Noah Schultz got the win, improving to 2-0. He worked 5 innings, giving up 1 run on 3 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. The Mariners fall to 4-9 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2036 season.

In the bottom of the first, slugging left fielder Jose Negron hit a 2-run home run. The 3rd home run of the season for the Toronto designated hitter put the Blue Jays on top, 2-0.
