Tigers Get Past Toronto, 5-4
|
The Detroit Tigers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays, 5-4. Center Fielder Matt Halligan deserved a large share of the credit. Halligan went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Tigers. Toronto, with the loss, is 2-4.
Halligan had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the seventh, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Tigers went on to win.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Halligan.
