Angels Prevail, as Wildcard Series Goes to the Wire
In a series that had a little bit of everything, the Los Angeles Angels have edged the Detroit Tigers.

The two rival clubs went the distance in the tightly-contested Wildcard Series, with a 18-0 win in the clincher being the difference for Los Angeles and giving them the ticket to the Division Series with a 2-1 series triumph.

"We never stopped believing in ourselves. When push came to shove we were going to get it done," said Nolan Schanuel, who was named series MVP.

For the series, Schanuel hit .500 with a .667 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 6 runs.

The Los Angeles Angels will play against the Toronto Blue Jays in the next round. Toronto had a bye in the Wildcard Series. The Division Series is scheduled to begin on September 19th , 2035.
