Blue Jays Score Late to Beat Yankees, 5-4
|
The Toronto Blue Jays picked up a win at Yankee Stadium, downing the New York Yankees, 5-4. On the mound for Toronto was left-hander Noah Schultz, who played a pivotal role in the win. Toronto is 44-35 and New York, with the loss, 41-38.
It could have been a different outcome for Toronto, had it not been for Sebastian Dos Santos, the 28-year old shortstop . Dos Santos contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Toronto up, 5-4.
"It feels good to get this one," Dos Santos told the Toronto Chronicle.
