The Chicago White Sox picked up a win at Rate Field, dropping the Toronto Blue Jays, 4-3. Kade Anderson, who is tied for 6th in the AL with a 9.1 K/9 rate, was the difference-maker. Anderson, the winner, moves to 5-5. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up no walks. Scott Davidson recorded the save, his 10th.
Jorge Fernandez had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for the White Sox. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Chicago trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run single.
"If you chase it, you need to get it," said Chicago skipper Bob Henley.
This win makes it 5 in a row for Chicago.
