The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Seattle Mariners, 6-1, at T-Mobile Park. The Blue Jays got a fine performance from designated hitter Jose Negron, who went 2-4 with a triple and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Blue Jays bumped their record to 35-25 with this win.

Toronto used the timely hitting of Belfi Rivera to capture the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Blue Jays on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Craig Driver.
